The Caldwell Rotary Club and the City of Lenoir would like to extend an invitation to the 2018 Downtown Lenoir Christmas Tree Festival, which will be held on Main Street in Lenoir on Saturday, November 17th from 10am to 4pm.
This street festival is in its sixth year, and typically attracts many area visitors and vendors. The festival is coordinated by the Caldwell County Rotary Club, and it uses any profits for its college scholarships fund, which funds partial college scholarships each spring for three Caldwell County high school seniors.
Main features of the family-oriented holiday festival is the Kids Zone– inflatables slides, bounce house, a shuttle train, a balloon artist, mini golf, face painting, kettle corn, etc. There is also a live entertainment stage on the downtown square, and periodic live radio remotes by Foothills Radio Group. This year, plans are underway to include a gingerbread house competition, as well as an ugly Christmas sweater competition.
*Some items of note: The festival has a new relationship with the NC Christmas Tree Association. Tree grower Larry Smith of Mountain Top Frasier Fir will actually be at the White House the weekend of this year’s festival. (Please see link to recent news article)
