American Legion Post 29 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony Monday, May 27, 2019, on the stage in Downtown Lenoir. The ceremony starts at 10:00 am. Check out the downtown parking map at https://downtownlenoirnc.com/get-here/.
Kathy Hutchings, former Veterans Service Director, will be the guest speaker. Mayor Joe Gibbons and other local government officials also will speak. Organizers will lay a wreath at the Veterans Memorial to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. Post 29 will then ring the post bell to honor legionnaires who passed away this year. Veterans Memorial pavers are still available for anyone who wants to honor a loved one.
