The City plans to close a section of West Avenue Monday afternoon. Workers are installing electrical conduit to up fit the electrical service at the Downtown stage.
Public Works staff will close West Avenue between Mulberry Street and Main Street at 1:00 pm. The block will remain closed throughout the afternoon until workers complete the upgrade.
Drivers on West Avenue will detour from West Avenue onto Mulberry Street, then to Ashe Avenue and Main Street, and back to West Avenue.
“We apologize in advance for any inconvenience,” Public Works Director Jared Wright said. “We’ll open the street as soon as we can.”
