COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MEETING DATES

  • Tuesday, September 19th, 2023, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Campus Auditorium, 1114 College Ave.

The City of Lenoir and DLR Group are hosting the final round of the Community Engagement meetings. This community workshop will be focused on presenting the findings from DLR’s data-gathering phase and presenting a DRAFT of the Downtown Master Plan. This workshop is open to anyone who wants to attend!

What is a Master Plan?

The Downtown Master Plan will establish goals for redevelopment and improvements in Downtown Lenoir during the next 10 years. The Plan will likely recommend changes and additions to public infrastructure in Downtown such as sidewalks, common areas, lighting, and street patterns.

City staff is working with DLR Group to create the Plan. DLR Group staff will ask questions and gather community input during the meeting. Residents will be able to talk about what activities and opportunities they would like to see in Downtown Lenoir.

The Downtown Plan will also include recommendations for improvements to The Campus at the Historic Lenoir High School (LHS). The Campus comprises the LHS Auditorium, Gymnasium, Band Building, Trades/Masonry Building, and Mack Cook Stadium.
